People & HR: a full HR platform for firms that run people operations for other companies
Directory, onboarding, time off, performance, recruiting, benefits, scheduling, guarded discipline, a wage-and-hour compliant timesheet that feeds the pay run, and per-client isolation. Thirteen modules, one workspace.
HR consulting firms and fractional people-ops teams run HR for many companies at once. The tools built for a single HR department make them log in once per client. PrismAMS People runs the whole practice from one workspace, with every client company's employees in one place and each client seeing only its own people.
What shipped
- Employee directory with headcount and status, each person tied to the client company they belong to.
- Onboarding and offboarding checklists from templates. A new hire starts their onboarding automatically through the automation engine.
- Time off and leave: policies, requests with business-day calculation, approvals and balances.
- Performance: goals with progress, review cycles with ratings and acknowledgment.
- Recruiting: job openings and a candidate pipeline. Hiring a candidate creates the employee record and starts onboarding.
- People analytics and compliance: a dashboard, a policy library, and a per-policy acknowledgment matrix.
- Time and attendance with a jurisdiction-aware wage engine. California first (daily overtime, double time, seventh-day and meal-period premiums), then weekly overtime rules across 22 US jurisdictions with per-tenant minimum-wage overrides.
- Progressive discipline with guarded termination: verbal, written and final warnings must be issued in order, and the system will not terminate an employee without an active chain of all three.
- Benefits administration: plans by type with per-tier costs, enrollments, dependents and a participation summary.
- Shift scheduling: weekly agenda, open shifts flagged, publish by week, and one click to turn a worked shift into a paid time entry.
- Timesheets into payroll: approved timesheets seed regular, overtime and double-time hours into the accounting pay run.
- Per-client isolation: a user scoped to one client company sees only that company's people on every HR screen, and it fails closed.
- A self-service growth review built on the five-factor personality model, owned by the employee, with a tokenized link that needs no app login.
- Fourteen HR report templates, and every HR table available in the ad-hoc report builder.
A note on the wage engine
It computes overtime and premiums under the coded rules for each jurisdiction and flags what it finds. It does not yet cover every local ordinance, alternative workweek or industry wage order, and every ruleset carries a disclaimer in the interface. It is a strong first pass that a person reviews, not legal advice.
