Living software: file a ticket inside the app, get the fix, watch it go live

Admins file bugs and requests from the Support page. A build agent reads the ticket, ships the fix git-first, replies with what changed, and resolves the ticket only once the change is actually live.

PrismAMS is meant to listen to the people who run it. As of this week, an admin can file a bug, a feature request or a question from the Support page inside the app, with screenshots attached. A build agent reads the queue every hour, fixes the bug or builds the feature, ships it to the repository first and then to production, and replies on the ticket with what changed.

A ticket is not marked resolved when the fix is committed. It is marked resolved when the live site reports that the commit containing the fix is deployed. Questions get an answer. Anything that needs a human decision is routed to one, and the ticket says so.

On its first night the loop worked a list of fourteen requests from an association customer and shipped ten of them, including click-through analytics tiles, a producer license section, contract payment fields and a designation picker.

It is the same loop that has run a customer's public website since May, moved into the product itself.
