Licensing and Compliance: licenses plus every report and filing you owe
The Licenses page is now Licensing and Compliance, with a Reports tab for state annual reports, tax returns, business licenses and other filings. Each one gets a due date that can repeat, an owner, a reminder, and a task on that person's list.
Licenses were never the whole compliance picture. The annual reports, excise and tax returns, business licenses and other government filings lived in someone's calendar or someone's head. Now they sit next to the licenses.
- A Reports tab lists every filing with what's open, what's due in the next 30 days, what's overdue and what's been filed this year.
- Each report has a due date that can repeat monthly, quarterly or annually. Mark it filed and the next one is added for you.
- Assign it to someone and it lands on their task list, due on the due date. Ticking the task done marks the report filed too.
- Pick who files it: your team or a supplier, like your CPA.
- Set a reminder date on a report or a license. That morning the person gets an email and a notification, and again if a report goes past due or a license expires.
- A license can be marked as requiring an annual report, with a prepare-by date and a person, so it shows up in Tasks every year.
- Licenses, reports and contracts all take as many files as you need, so a contract can carry the original agreement and every addendum.
- Picking Other as a line of authority now asks you to describe it.
